Then you need to see a doctor it may be because of ulcer . I was having same problem before and it turned out to be ulcer , ulcers if not treated and cause real damage I have lost 4 KGS and I am 17 yr old boy it take 2-3 weeks to completely heal but you will start felling hungry again .But make sure to visit a doctor if the loss of appetite continues for more than 3 days

Hi Guys, hopefully this helps. A month ago I had stomach flu(viral gastroenteritis). Caused me nausea, EXPLOSIVE vomiting at first and gradually, diarrhea and low grade fever on a Monday.

Would recommend you to hit straight the doctor and ask for a shot. While I'm not sure what type of injection it was but it stopped the vomiting COMPLETELY. Still feel nauseous but was able to keep fruits( mostly strawberries) and medicine down. On Thursday I had diarrhea and after a full day of running for the toilet, loperamide helped to control.

If you feel bloated and nausea after food, would recommend lying on your sideways to ease it but I'm not sure if it affects the digestion. Took me a little over a week to regain my normal appetite.

I was put on a BRAT diet which means Banana, Rice, Applesauce and Toast. And also try having small sips of Gaterade throughout the day.

Thanks so much for your post. I've had, no appetite, diarrhea (off and on), cramping, and nausea for a week now. I haven't had any diarrhea today, just nausea and fatigue I went to the ER 3-days ago. They took blood and urine. Everything came back fine. The doctor says I have a stomach bug that's taking it's time to leave. They have me 2-bags of fluid and anti-nausea medicine through an IV. The nurse told me to give it about 10-days. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one to experience this. It has been really frustrating.

Hi Bonnie7. I had a stomach bug for about 2-weeks. I went to the emergency room after week one. They gave me fluids and anti-nausea medicine through an IV. I've spoken to the nurse via phone 3 times. They tell me the same thing: the doctor cannot prescribe anything, let it run its course, stay hydrated and eat small portions (yogurt, applesauce, bananas, protein, etc.). I have lost between 15-20 pounds. For energy, I sip on mountain dew since coffee if off limits. My appetite is starting to return. The strange part is, I'm mostly hungry in the evening. I'm also starting to feel much better. The nurse told me to give it 7-10 days. I'm at about 90% now and hoping to be at 100% soon. Hope this helps.

That is what is exactly happening to me right now. I threw up neon yellow (bile) about two days ago and ever since then I always feel nauseous and I can't eat anything. I've been sipping on water and ginger ale. I've took tums, rolaids, and pepto and nothing has helped for the nausea. Did you ever figure out what was wrong?

I know exactly how everyone feels. I started with the vomiting and diarrhea this past Friday at 10 in the evening and continue until 6 AM Saturday morning. I did nothing but sleep all day Saturday and all day Saturday night how can a person asleep so much… today is Monday and I still cannot eat without feeling nauseous. I was told five people I work with that have had this awful nasty stomach bug that it could take between 7 to 10 days to feel like eating anything again . And I also still have some dizziness and some headaches. I guess I just have to wait it out and let it run its course. Good luck everyone!

Same thing going on here. I've been this way since Friday and today is Monday and I had to take a day out of work because every time I put something in my mouth I still feel nauseous. But I hear this is very common with that awful nasty stomach bug. It may take between 7 to 10 days To actually feel normal again.
