My son is 16 years old and was recently tested due to his father having this disorder and he has tested positive. I was informed that this is hereditary and due to other issues he has been having his PCP did decide to test him. Now I am concerned about him having to take warfin or anticoagulants for the rest of his life. Seems like a real harsh disease to be so young. Anyway, just wanted to inform everyone that it can be seen in children. So please watch your children for symptoms or have them tested if you feel it to be needed. Hope the young ones get control and get better soon! As for everyone else, stay strong and healthy!

I too have been diagnosed with this after having pulmonary embolism back in November. I am 38. The blood thinners I was put on is Xarelto. I don't need to always get my levels checked with this one and I'm allowed to eat greens. My biggest problem has been the migraines.
