My friend has been suffering from lupus for years. At first, her kidneys were the ones that were affected. However, lately she has been developing vision problems. Those would be blurred vision, light sensitivity, headaches, etc. I have read somewhere that these problems appear due to long time use of steroids and antimalarials. I was wondering if this is true.

Hi to you too. I think that lupus itself does not cause vision problems. However, antimalarials are indeed use for the treatment. I think that they can cause some vision problems. I am not sure about the details. Maybe this can be caused by psychological problems. You must see how your friend reacts on the disease. He should consult an expert. I hope everything will be all right. Bye!
