Has anyone used lyrica and percocet together? I just started back treatment for lingual nerve damage pain, and percocets were the only thing that helped in the past. My doc has suggested lyrica? Can I ask her for both? I dealt with the pain for two years w/o meds but almost killed myself internally with OTC c**p...so happy to be pain free for the most part, but scared to try something new.

I have a friend who had neck surgery with fusion and plate, as well as shoulder surgery and much soft tissue damage. Also, she was diagnosed with fibro. She felt much pain and starting feeling depressed...due to the pain and lack of sleep. The lack of sleep is a side effect of the fibro. I remember her being on lyrica, which she took before bedtime, and she took percocet during the day to relieve the pain. She also took an anti-depressant before starting lyrica. Doing this has made her feel so much better.

In a nutshell, she took both, with no problems. Check with your doctor to be sure, but I know it worked for her.

Ive been on 10/325 percs for about 2 or 3 years due to nerve damage Im also on Lyrica 100mg Its best to be on bolth Percoceets cover the pain while lyrica works to fix your nerves my tolernce is ridiculously high so dont take my advice as a rule. your doctor should know whats best but i do understand wherer your comming from nerve pain sucks. I would talk to your doctor about starting on a low dose of lyrica 75mg is the lowest they make maybe try 2 to 3 times a day the thing about lyrica is it takes roughly a year to start to turn things around so dont worry if it doesnt start working for a while. I wouldnt go over 150mg 3 times a day though if your on percocets too. Also i would ask your doctor about elavil it is an antidepressent but it also has nerve damage helping compounds. It may not be right for you though as antidepressents arent good for everyone I hope my advice helped. Good luck to you and keep your head up.
