Had turp 11 days ago (second one. Prostate enlarged more than appreciated, first failed - end of May this year - doc expected that - so went into retention 2 hours after post op catheter removed). I'm having the expected post turp issues e.g. blood and pain whilst peeing and erections are happening, which is great.

Making love, my wife and I know that this will be in a number of weeks.

Should I masturbate first, or straight to love making - I'm expecting retrograde ejaculation and am ok with that.

Erection seems different - hard to describe - anyone else experienced that? Shape, bit bent but professions strong.

I'd say do it when you feel stimulated to, but it is really up to your own choice: I have seen a lot of people suggest only around 3-4 a month, or something like that

You don't have any idea of what you are stating. This is health for fxsake, not politicasl opinion. Don't guess.
James, don't listen to this. I you have a health related question ask a medical professional. What the hell are you thinking?!!!

Calm down Mr. Guest. I didn't read anything political. What I have learned since having the TURP surgery is that everyone heals at their own rate. It's like when you break your arm and ask how long the cast will be on. Standard answer: 4 - 6 weeks. They can't pinpoint anything down.

I guess men will do it when they feel the need, but we shouldn't expect it to be the way it was before, because it isn't. Healing and adapting takes time and patience

It's been two weeks now since my TURP procedure. Fortunately, everything seems to be in perfect working order downstairs since I masturbated last night just to make sure my guy was happy. No pain or discomfort whatsoever. It's almost as if the surgery never even happened! was great shape prior to the procedure, as I lifted heavy weights three times a week, high-intensity conditioning 3-4 days a week, and practicing yoga four times a week. Most impressive of all, I felt like I was practically back to my normal self just three days after surgery. But like someone said earlier, everyone heals different.
