I've been on 40mg of Methadone per day for 14 months AND I HAVE GAINED 60 POUNDS.
Does anyone else on Methadone sweat a lot with very little activity such as just walking into the grocery or other task that requires movement?

Yes I was on liquid methadone for a little over 2 years and i gained almost 100 lbs. and now i am haveing alot of trouble looseing it and i am only 21 years old. I always sweat no matter what it was i was doing i always was red and covered in sweat. when i did it. once i relized what it was doing to me i switched to suboxon. Methadone is a great pain killer but in the long run some people end up gaining alot of weight, not all but alot of people includeing my self have.

I also found a lot of similar stories on another thread, but thanks. I'm only 25 and the weightgain has causede my knees to hurt really bad. I am going to ask my doc to switch back to Diluadid.
