i've been on methadone for 3 years now, and i'm slowly trying to get off it. I've gained 60 pounds in the 3 yrs. for the past year i eat right, and joined the ymca and exercise regularly, but the weight wont come off!! is it because of the methadone, or is there something else i can try?

I WAS ALWAYS TINY AND COULDNT GAIN WEIGHT, UNTIL I STARTED METHADONE TREATMENT I WAS REG 105 SIZE 1 OR 3. MY WEIGHT TODAY IS 150 SIZE 11. IVE BEEN DETOXING SINCE AUG THIS IS JAN. I HAVE LOST NO WEIGHT SO FAR .IAM GOING DOWN 1 MG A WEEK. I WAS ON 120 NOW DOWN TO 98 ITS TOOK AWHILE BUT IAM GETTING THERE.WISH I COULD SAY THE SAME ABOUT THE WEIGHT. I WAS ALWAYS UNDER WEIGHT SO I LIKE TO KEEP SOME OF IT BUT NOT ALL. GOOD LUCK AND ANY INFO ON LOSING WEIGHT WOULD BE GRATEFULL THANKS
