i think i'll start my period soon, and i'm getting a few migraines in class at secondry school, could this be an affect of me starting a period?
i would like an easy answer please.

I'm pretty sure migraines have nothing to do with your period.. they can be carried through the family, or it is also possible you have some kind of medical condition. You should consult your parents about this.

My mom has major migrains, to the point that we once thought they were the effects of a tumor. Thankfully, they were not, but she will have them for the rest of her life, and so will I thanks to genetics.

Kirsty, I got a few migraines around the time I first started getting periods. Migraines can absolutely be related to hormones - I was told that by a doctor. I had about 4 of them between ages 14 and 15, then 1 or 2 after that. In my late 20s now, I haven't had one for years. Make sure you don't throw the term "migraine" around too loosely though. If you are having regualr headaches you might have bad eyesight.
