Same thing with my grandaughter. She took it for over 3 years and stopped after her insurance ran out at 18 ( she was adopted) She hasn't had a period in over 4 months, acne has gotten worse and put on weight that she looks pregnant but isn't. Bloating and major gas issues. I think somebody needs to look into this. Anybody out there care?

Oh my god I took 3 pregnancy tests thinking this was how pregnancy felt. The pain, bloating, cystic acne... The tests were negative. I don't have a bald spot but the rest of these symptoms are accurate. I was so scared.

I just started taking Prozac and I'm realizing that my period is also late. I was worried that I was pregnant but after reading this thread I feel much better! I read that Prozac also treats PMDD so I wonder if that's the reason for the irregular periods.

I have also had this experience. After starting Prozac again after a year of not taking it I had a period. This has happened twice. My periods stop when I don't take it and I have horrible mood swings also when I don't take it.

It will get better. I was still feeling like my normal depressed self when I first started, but then as time went on I stopped thinking about my past and started to get less irritable and more calm and relaxed. So yes, it will help. It takes time so you have to be patient

My period is 8 days late,about a week ago the doc changed my dosage from 10 mg go 5 mg. Coukd that be the reason? I took a test but it was negatve,but its never been so late before. heeelp!

I never have a late or missed period,. I'm a very detailed person and have the app in my phone to keep up each month and have for 2 years. I started Prozac 20 mg s and now I'm 5 days late. No good! So annoying being worried. I've took a test each morning to be safe but all 4 are negative. It's this medicine. To make it worse I'm in pain,. Almost like a cramping but not starting like it's triggered my pain way worse but I do love the balance to mood it brings. Not sure what to do--
