Morning After Pill experiences- anyone?? Messed up cycle, early bleeding?

You should never take plan B more than once in a cycle - it can seriously mess up the hormone levels in your body and badly affect your periods. Make an appointment to see your doctor to make sure that everything is okay.

I took Next Choice (which is a plan b pill) on December 28th, a day after sex. 13 days later I had a light flow with brownish discharge and cramps on the first day. This only lasted about 3 or 4 days. Apparently this is your lining peeling from your uterine wall dismissing any way of becoming pregnant. I was then suppose to start my period on the 26th of January, as that day came, no period. Within the next two weeks I took 3 pregnancy tests, all in which tested negative. I had all the symptoms of a soon to be period: tender breasts, abdominal cramps, cravings, and moodiness. Unfortantely these are the same symptoms of early pregnancy. On February 5th I started a normal period. This period was just a little bit longer by like a day or two and the cramps were more frequent.

I took Plan B only a week ago after a mishap during sex. I was a little nautious the night after I took it but that went away . I'm a very active person I'm at the gym 5-8 days a week. Normally a day or two before my period I get really really drained and tired. I have been like this ALL WEEK. I'm not due for my Period for another week and I have had no spotting but I did have a bit of bloating and cramping the day after I took it along with the nausia.  Reading this topic I am not terrified for what the next month or two may hold . :( 

Hi everyone.

On Jan. 19th I had sex with my boyfriend but the condom broke. I took the day after pill (Vikela) about 4 hours after it happened. I then got my period on the 27th which was a little late for me but it was pretty light and I had no cramps of any PMS. All of this month my breasts have been a little bit sore (nothing serious) and I am still waiting for my period now. Usually I get cramps a few days before my period and start feeling cranky but this time I only have some light acne and no symptoms. Should I be worried? How effective are these pills?

Also I am not on the pill (will be starting it next month).

Does anyone have any suggestions on which pill to take?

Which ones are the best/least side effects?(BTW I live in Europe, so hopefully they are all available here.)

i took the plan B pill a few days ago and im suppose to have my period now but all i have are cramps bloating and a super light brown stain coming out could i be preg?

brown stains are normal many women have experienced brown bleeding after taking the pill.

This post has been very helpful.. I took the Morning after pill on the 23rd. probably 24 hours after intercourse. My period came the next day and it was a normal cycle. I use an app to track when I'm ovulating and when my period is supposed to come. The app says that my period was due to come on the 25th; 8 days later my period still hasn't come. I am not showing any symptoms of PMS. I have also taken three pregnancy tests within the past 2 weeks and they have all come out negative. 

I took map 12 days ago. I was due my period 9 days ago. I've had absolutely nothing just clear or white discharge I took a hpt 2 days ago and it was negative. I'm seeing the Dr this morning. Could this just be the result of the map? My last day of bleeding was Jan 30t.

Did anyone get acne or hair loss after taking the morning after pill?

i took the morning after pill 2days after unprotected sex.

i normally get my period every 25 days, this time it came about a week early on the 18th day since the start of my last period

bleeding lasted aggggesss, like 2 weeks, but very light.

since then I have been freaking out because my period was really really late...  i came on here to ease my mind and was going to go get a pregnancy test in a couple of days.

low and behold tonight i got my 2nd period after taking the morning after pill and it was 44 days since i had started my first period. that's almost 2 weeks late! so i think it does really mess with your cycle

Hi took the plan b pill the day after I had un protected sex. He did pull out and did not cum in me! Just to be on the safe side I took the pill and now im a week late!!! I took 5 pregnancy test already and they came out negative... So do y'all think im pregnant?

It's really good to read all your posts and collate from all the data that the morning after pill SEVERELY messes with hormones. I had to leave all hormonal protection because of the horrible effects (particularly progesterone) and a split condom meant I had to take Levonelle even though I probs didn't need it. I'm on the fourth period (heavy, five days each) in 6 weeks and it's awful, the feeling sick and tired is pretty bad, but just not being able to predict the depression and stress beforehand (the acne isn't great either, nor is the bloating!) is terrible. I have like end of the world kind of depressions beforehand a normal period, so have spent the past 6 weeks just sleeping/working/sleeping as I have hardly been able to do anything else, like smile or be polite! 

I'd like to tell everyone with the spotting and bleeding problems to hang in there and not worry too much about pregnancy, and also ask any veterans, HOW LONG WILL THIS DISRUPTION LAST??? 

 

I'm coming up to one year after taking it and my skin hasn't returned to how it was. Is your acne settling down at all? I really want to know if things will settle down with my skin. My hair is growing back and my periods are 28 days exactly and have been for awhile. That will all settle down as will the bouts of depression and bloating. Take some Evening Primrose Oil as it helps to balance hormones and reduce PMS symptoms.

I took levonell (not sure of spelling) at the end of Jan this yr and have only had one 2 day period since. I feel sick virtually every morning since taking this also I have suffered with spotting since. I took a couple of hpt and they were negative. It seems all of these pills really mess your body up.

Yes, this is why I am online now. Researching if this has happened to anyone else. I took Next Choice the last 2 days of my period which is already 7 days and now I have my period again. I started spotting and now its in full effect. This sucks.
