Hi, I am concerned about my mother and I would like some answers. She is 71 years old and she is having bipolar hip surgery next week. The problem is, she is very exhausted, she had just recovered from broken arm and it also looks like she has become depressed. What can I do, how long will post op process last?

Well, I guess you already know that broken bone in older people is really a big problem because of several complications that might happen. You do know that post op process will take long, especially because of her age. You have to be beside her, to help her deal with the depression and to help with the healing process. One advice – she will most probably lay for a lot of time, she must not stay in the same position long, wounds may appear!
