Hello, my mother is 67 years old and sadly, she has sustained a broken hip injury. She is already in the hospital and she is waiting for additional testing. I think that the doctor mentioned MNR or MRI, something like that. Can that procedure give an accurate data about the broken hip?

It is MRI and yes it will. Usually, when x rays are simply not giving enough info about the problem, some additional methods are used. Those include MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), computed tomography (CT scan), and a bone scan (involving dye injecting). There are some other methods too, but these are mostly used. Let’s hope it will reveal the situation regarding your mother’s broken hip which will help the doctor help her.
