No - oycontin is NOT morphine - it is Percocet (oxycodone w/out Tylenol) but it is extended release. I have been on and off pain meds for almost 30 years and have tried them all for chronic pain. that is exactly what i take ms 30 3x daily and 10 mg percs 4x daily and the percs deffinetly kick in faster and will get you to your happy zone but 6 hrs later quick good-bye the ms extended takes 2 to 3 hrs to really kick in but in long run works better for 10 or 12hrs without euphoria driven intentions was run over by fork lift 7 yrs ago so now disability and pain is my name

I was on oxycodone 30_ mg imm release now I just started morphine sul 30 mg tab rox can anyone tell me why I don't feel that warm feeling in my body and feel relaxed in my head like I did oxycodone I've got a migraine and feel sick does the mgs watch the same or is morphine way lower than oxycodone 30 because I feel horrible I need on something just like oxycodone 30 but stronger with the same effects like in the brain I feel like I'm detoxing seriously

You were taking waaaaayyyyyy toooo much, Methadone when taken correctly will not make you sleepy at all, in fact, it generally(alike Oxycontin/Oxycodone) gives people energy......I have taken Methadone, it is twice the strength of Oxy, and has twice the half life of Oxycontin.

Oxycontin is Oxycontin, it's patented by Perdue, it's chemical map is some what different from Oxycodone, but has similar effects on pain. Oxcodone is considered the generic of Oxycontin and only comes in Instant Release form in U.S. Don't listen to the person above he is a id**t!

Thank you for serving our country!!! So sorry about your Injury!! Your reply just made my decision to switch. The oxy doesnt last for longer than four hours and my dr wont write for more than 15 mgs, 3xs a day. I have major disc issues, spinal stenosis, severe fibromyalsia,and horrible continual siatica. Witth these new laws being passed, she is becoming harder to reach, for shes not listning and is more worried about her licence. She is a pain mgmt specialist and im only 44. I want to LIVE my life, not sit on the sidelines watching it pass by. I want to be a fully active parent, and new grandmother!! Thank you for sharing your story, as well as serving our country!!!
