im 36 weeks pregnant and i have been loosing my mucus plug since i was 32 weeks and now my discharge has changed from really white and thick to thin, clear and kinda mucusy is this normal or should i call my doctor or go stight to the hospital. Also yesturday i had alot of lower back pains with some contractions i had 3 per hour but i didnt time them. Now today im not having them but im having alot more clear thin discharge im not for :-( :-( sure if its water or not its just really thin and clear.

You are supposed to have much more mucus now since the baby’s head’s pressuring the cervix. This is perfectly normal but if you are unsure, I would suggest you either visited a doc or called and asked.
If this is your first pregnancy you are more likely to have delivery earlier and later. Since your contractions are no so strong and regular, you should not count them. When they become very strong, closer than 5 mins apart and have been going on like that for an hour, this is when you should get ready and leave for the hospital.
If you have given birth before, then you should use your first labor as guidance.
However, if you are not sure, you shouldn’t hesitate going in for examination.
