A few days ago I started to see brown discharge on my panties, I WAS FREAKING SCARED. I never told my mom but a few days later I got my period, I told my mom she was happy and mad at the same time! The brown discharge hasn't gone away though, does anyone know why? Plz plz plz tell me.

I’m 11 and there I still a really light brown discharge in my underwear and it doesn’t smell that bad but it doesn’t smell like mensteral blood. I first noticed white discharge about a year ago and it stopped but now it’s come back brown. I’m not sure if it’s old blood but there isn’t really much there although it keeps coming out. What can I do? What’s is it?

I have had something happen to me while I was young about 6 or 7 I had brown discharge and my guardian Said I was cleaning well enough and I had this strange discharge so long it became normal and still is it’s embarassing to continue to go to the doctor for medicine instead of figuring out what’s wrong , they said it was a uti and then they didn’t tell me what it was and it’s stulll here , sometimes it’s clear and doesn’t smell as bad .....has this happened to anyone else , it’s nit a period

Throw a lot of underwear away. Do u still think it’s her period? At 6

My 6 year old is experiencing that right now and I thought it was how she was wiping herself as well but now I’m starting to really worry I hate the smell and she just too young to understand what’s really going on down there and im tryna figure this out myself

I am reading all these and you are all not alone. I have a 9 year old daughter and for 2 weeks I thought she was having "accidents" in her underwear. she has had the brown discharge going on for almost a month now. I have had 2 doctors tell me it is not her period because she shows no other signs of puberty(breast buds or pubic hair) however a 3rd doctor said it may very well be. I was and am still freaked out and I have gone through it all. We have had a ultrasound done, which came back negative with a mm of a lining on her uterus(which makes me believe it could very well be her starting her period) we have also taken her to get an xray of her hand which will test the bone structure, we have had lab work taken...that we are waiting for now to see if it shows any changes in her hormone levels. I know how everyone feels when there kids are only 9 years old. I am hoping that is turns out to be just her period, even though it is early I don't want to have to worry anymore. It is starting to effect her as well.

Hello there how long does the brown discharge last in your case?my daughter had a brown discharge so i immediately took her to my OB gynecologist ..the one who gave me birth to my youngest..and since there is discharge when checking her,my gynecologists suggested a vaginoscopy..so she did..and doctor findings is a blood clot so it was removed..and feeling so much better its gone until her 1st period.. but for about 5-6 months it came back again..worried again because we arent rich and financial also a problem..the last procedure done to her was expensive so where to get financial help this time again....dont know what to do anyone give advice please..

Thanks this happens to me I woke up one morning to go to the bathroom and saw that there was brown stuff but I thought oh you haven’t takin a bath in 2-3 days that’s why.Then the next day I saw there was more so I told my sister and she told my mom and we talking to my aunt Bc she’s a doctor and she said that’s my first period .(oh and mine is light brown and dried up) she said that’s how my first one is then it’s gonna get red on my next period.(and I had this brown discharge for 2 days so that was my period (also carry pads and wear panty liners when you get the brown discharge) :)

I'm 12 as well and had my first period 5 days after I turned 11, it's completely normal! I get light brown discharge every period slightly bef9re the actual blood comes. As long as it only lasts about 1 week or 2 you should he fine, but if it is worrying u a checkup wouldn't hurt

So glad I found this. My niece was abused and is having issues with discharge and intense smell. The doctor dismissed any test because she was “too young”. Perhaps this can be her issue as well.
