I am 16 - I never used to have a problem with beer; I would enjoy drinking it. About 14 months ago, I went a bit over the top one night, and drank a seriously excessive amount of it (a mix of ale and lager i think it was). Whatever, I have found since then that I can't even have a half a bottle of any kind of beer without feeling very nauseous. It seems to be the taste that does it for me; I am perfectly fine with any other kinds of alcohol, but beer just makes me want to vomit. It's kind of embarrassing and a nuisance as you can imagnine. My body just seems to have built up an intolerance to it over that one night. Is it possible that I've developed an allergy, or should I just give it more time?

Hello there glasshandedkite,

Well you overreacted one night and maybe now your body is reacting the same as that night because of the smell. When I was younger I did the same thing with the red vine, and years after that I can’t drink it. And also I don’t have problems with other types of alcohol, I even drink white vine but as soon as I sense the smell of red vine my stomach becomes upset.

If you don’t want to stop drinking beer than you could see your doctor and do allergy test. Maybe you had allergy reaction on something that beer contains. And now you can’t drink it at all. It is possible to be allergic on the grains of which beer consists.
