My daughter has had a tonsillectomy on the 17th of June, now it is the 8th of JUly. She only complains of discomfort at night, but it is nothing compared to what she went through at first. However i was wondering if while drinking water and it sometimes some will come up through the nose. I do not know if this has anything to do with her adnoids being removed with tonsiles but it did not happen before.

Strange that she actually gets water up through her nose. I suspect that is probably the issue that she had her adenoids removed. I don't think it would be a bad idea to ask the doctor if that's something that's going to be permanent or if that's even normal but as far as I know that does happen. I think it wouldn't hurt to check with the doctor just to be sure. Is she suffering from any other symptoms or is that the only one? Keep us posted.

Going through the forums I've seen quite a few people say that water or other liquids have come out through the nose after surgery. So just know that you are not the only one. But, I am not sure what to do about it, try contacting a doctor or the hospital and ask hem about it, or research further on the net if you can' contact anbody. Good luck.
