Hi i am wondering if anyone can help at all my girlfriend found out she was pregnant last week she was 5 weeks gone we took 4 postive tests then . Booked an apoitment at the doctors for a urine test etc but after leaving the doctors begin to start bleeding with stomach cramps she says its no more painfull than a period with the same amount of blood waiting to have a 6 week scan and blood test results back but just in desperate need of any advice or similar stories and outcomes thanks so much for reading this ..

Hi Thomas,
Some light bleeding can occur early in pregnancy. Heavier bleeding and cramps mean that she should see her doctor or the emergency room now.
She may be having a miscarriage. They are very common early in pregnancy.

While I am no doctor or nurse I myself have experienced this. In early June I returned a + pg test (what would be my 3rd child, my 2boys healthy textbook pregnancies). 4days u began to bleed, not heavily & with no pain whatsoever. Over the course of 12days the bleeding got slightly heavier & a lot lighter than I would expect for a miscarriage. My doctor ordered an emergency scan for me to be told I was only 5wks (not 13 like I thought) & when I returned for the results he said that if I was miscarrying nature would take its course, there is no way for intervention. In the meantime he organised for 2different blood withdrawals a week apart to monitor the drop in HCG levels & then told me wit those results that I had miscarried.
Now in saying that I repeat I am no doctor or nurse & don't want to give you false hope but the likelihood of miscarriage is possible. My doctor said on 3 different occassions that most women miscarry without knowing they were pregnant to begin with. Unfortunate for us, we already know.
The only thing you can do is wait to have the scan & the results of the bloods.
