My period hasn't stopped, and I am freaking out.

At the begining of August I started my period, it was like the first saturday. It has been almost a month and I haven't stopped bleeding yet. It was normally spotting a little, but it has since gotten worse to where I have to wear a pad every day. This is really hard since I am 17 and I have to be running around constantly. Little things like twirling a flag (I just made flags ths year) has made me bleed really bad. Sometimes I bleed through my pad or on my panties... It has gotten to where I just have to make it stop. But the thng is, I don't like beng touched by people who I don't know. That means any doctor, and I definitely don't want a pap.. I just don't know what to do, my mom doesn't know any of this and i'm freaking out!
