Hey everyone! I am trying to help my friends daughter who is 8 and was on Prozac and was pulling out chunks of her hair. After I discovered that was a side effect they took her off prozac and put her on Buspar and she went about three weeks without pulling and did it again yesterday. She is a little overweight not much, but the gain was due to the Prozac, and she is a precious little girl who loves being outside. She also tends to get one thing on her mind and can't let it go, and it will just ear her up inside. Upon researching I read that Buspar was not recommended for children, which really concerns me, and it has tons of side effects and other warnings if mixed other meds etc.

They are going to get her Thyroid tested soon, but if you have any comments that would help that would be great! Or any meds you had experience with that worked!
