Ok so I have a 5 year old daughter, she's not a bad kid but has some issues. Some I considered her just being 5 and helped her to do something else. For the past few weejs she'll wake up at night go into the kitchen help herself to drinks, snacks, and even attempt to make herself something to eat. All would be fine if she knew what she was doing and cleanef up after herself. i've woke up to eggs on the floor, syrup, wrappers, etc, etc. I tried to reach a comprimise and told her if she stops foing that I will take her in the kitchen more showing her what to do. Well today same thing. So I told her she was grounded and not alliwed to help with dinner tonight and she was not going to be allowed to come out of her room. I'm at my wits end because she just keeps doing it. I'm not ignoring her and don't leave her unattended. She does this in the midfle of the night, while I'm taking a shower or smoking out back. Any anyone have any ideas for what I can do? Am I being to harsh or not harsh enough? I'm already considering getting locks but fear that will only temporarily solve the problem.

Is she awake? Our Daughter when she was 3-5 years old would Get up and run around the house every night for years, She looked like she was awake her eyes open wide would talk but not remember a thing in the morning. She done this for about three years then just stopped when her little sister was born. We later found out it was called night terrior's.
