The reason that you have that discharge is because you are ovulating or close to it, there is nothing wrong with you people.

Phew, I'm relieved i am 27and this happened to me for the first time yesterday, i went to the bathroom wiped and felt something slimy so i wiped again and there was a thick clear glob of mucus, it didn't smell, i was freaked but not really worried seeing as due to a lack of color and smell i figured that it was not an infection. happy to hear that this is normal if u can call it that

Hi, I am 24 and have suffered for 10 years with this problem and like you I hate it.

I know you hate to hear this and it doesn't help much but it is normal for most ladies to suffer these conditions, some worse than others. I believe it to be down to the fact that some woman are just sensitive in that area, things like panty liners, using soap or perfumed products, the type of material your clothing is made out of and even for those of you that are sexually active ..sperm as they all have a high acidity which affects the ph in you intimate area causing these symptoms.

I know your thinking bla bla herd it all before but I have been for test after test after test and there is nothing wrong with any of us. the only thing I would advise is to learn to live with it because it wont get any better and keep an eye on it because if you do have a sensitive area then you could be prone to getting thrush ( this is not an STI for the younger ladies reading but a natural female problem which can be fixed with a little cream)

I just make sure now that I never leave the house without my panty liners and fem fresh (these are freshen up wipes for your ladies bits)

OMG! I am SO relieved after reading thing!! I've had the same issue with mucus discharge for a few years now. I thought that something might be wrong with me. I was pretty worried, but this has completely calmed me. Some days there's a lot, and other days there isn't any at all. I'm 19 and, even though it may surprise most people, a virgin. I thought i might have a yeast infection but the symptoms didn't match. THis article has put me completely at ease so thanks for asking the question and thanks to everyone who replied! <3

[size=36]READ THIS IF YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT CERVICAL MUCUS

Hah. okay, this post is kinda funny to me. Because I thought it was a yeast infecton for so long when I was younger. It's actually pretty facinating stuff, it is the tell all to your fertility cycle. It changes from dry or sticky, to creamy, to wet, to a raw egg white consistency, and then, back to dry and sticky. When it's dry and sticky, it is less sperm-friendly and you aren't as fertal, then when it it more wet, it is more sperm-friendly and you are more fertal.

Yes, when it is wet, it might soak through your pajama pants, and it is annoying. But it's a good way to determine when you are fertal. It's not going to hurt your boyfriend or get him sick, it's clean enough for sperm so it's clean enough for him. Just tell him it's your natural lubricant, which comes in handy if you have none.

And a little warning, after you ovulate, you produce a surge of progesterone. This hormone is yellow. So, if around 8 or 9 days after you ovulate, you experience yellow or goldish mucus on your panties, don't worry, unless it lasts several days. It's just one of the monthly hormones, it thickens your lining to prepare the area for a fertilized egg. No, it doesn't mean that you do, or don't, have a fertilized egg, it just happens every month, you may just not see it every time.

I am 26, and I had the similar symptoms. Just like someone posted before, in my case it was bacterial vaginitis. Which means the pH levels inside are unbalanced (similar to having Thrush or a Yeast Infection). It started happening when I got off this contraception pill, and before I have my period... so like someone else mentioned before it also could be related to the fact that I maybe ovulating. I think that I am one of the type of women who are highly sensitive in that area.

I took the medications to treat it, and that seemed to help. Also, using lowfat plain yogurt inside, also seems to help. Plain Yogurt is the old traditional way to balance your pH levels. Use a tampon applicator to insert a teaspoon of yogurt inside, while laying back. Do this before bed, and where a pad while sleeping, because it will start to come out. Trying applying this to yourself, for a couple of days, and see if it helps.

Hello there,

I've had the same problem for years now, I am worried that it could be serious or cause problems when I want to have kids. I've never had sex. I went to the doctor, and all my tests came back normal. They got me some antibiotics but I still have all the symptoms. Its really anoying!! I have to change my panty liner 2 or 3 times a day!! I can feel it coming out when I walk or during excersice.

Could some one tell me whats wrong with me==???

I am Thirteen, and I've been having similar problems. I have never had sex, but the discharge does not seem to be normal. When I am at school, I am always afraid that I am starting my period, but it is not the right time. I have been extremely self-conscious and constantly go to the bathroom, to be sure. It just feels wet, and I freak out. I have done some research (like any teen, I was horrified that it was an STD) but it wasn't everything just said "have you had a Change in diet?" but I don't exactly have a diet. I just eat whatever is there. I am afraid this could be serious. I have started my period, but it is 3-4 weeks late. It has skipped a month and hasn't come back. I'm afraid that something is wrong.
