Greetings all,

I've been on nuvaring for about 8 months now. I've really liked it.

Last week, I put in my nuvaring two days early on June 20, before I had gotten my period (I won't go into the reasons why). I bled throughout the first three days of haing it, and stopped around June 24. I had sex without a condom with my long-term boyfriend, however he did pull out (and, as I stated before, I'd had the ring in for a few days).

This evening, I noticed that I had some brownish discharge, and now I'm terrified it's implantation bleeding. Is it possible for it to just be late discharge from my menstrual cycle? How soon can I accurately take a pregnancy test?

Thanks so much for your help.

the earliest you can accurately take a pregnancy test is about 4 days before your first missed period. however you will want to carefully read the instructions for the at home pregnancy test before taking it. tests vary in accuracy and how soon you can take them so be sure to read it over and make sure you take it at the proper time. if you take it too early it can give you a false test result.
