I have not been given an answer and don't think enough studies have been bought to light as to what these stents do to our bodies. I always have an ache in my chest and shortness of breath. All test come out good. To bad we can't all get together and demand answers instead of being made to feel as though we making it up and cry babies

Since I started this topic, let me make a comment.  Those of you that complain of shortness of breath.....I had that after they gave me my meds to lower my heart rate....I'm a big guy and very active for 59.....I had a 2-1/2 hr heart attack at the gym where I worked out hard for about 2 hours.  A heart attack never even crossed my mind since I have severe psoriatic arthritis and fibromyalgia...I thought I just yanked my chest and back tendons/ligaments or something,,,,,I have been working out for 22 years.....my heart tests ( about 6 or 7...executive physicals at Cleveland Clinic were always fine....athletic for my age, unfortunately...they cant tell there was a blockage in the making (not enough cholesterol testing!).  Had I not worked out for all those years.....I may not be here today.  Only one blockage....90% in a large artery.....tests after show absolutely no damage.  People said I was lucky....uh-noooo, I worked my butt off through  a lot of arthritis pain and it probably saved my life.  The slow heart beat was a result of the meds....slower  is not better you need more oxygen, and that was my problem, I only noticed it at rest or talking.  My dosage was the minimum.  I argued with the surgeon and we compromised on 1/2 the minor dosage I was taking....but that did the trick!  So ask your doctor if you can try less.....of course, your condition will dictate his response.  My Dr. told my wife after 30 minutes of arguing about it that he thought he was in charge, but he now knows he's not.  He knew I was in good condition otherwise so I guess he caved in.....plus I'm bigger than him!

My chest pain....actually very minor, started in the beginning for weeks then went away and only comes around infrequently, however, it's always in the same tiny spot, doesn't hurt much and never is longer than 90 seconds......everyone assumes it's my arthritis and I'm agitating the same spot....maybe they are right.....God knows I get pain in so many places....why not my chest?  When it shows up for a few days every 2 months....I dunno......I always figured there's a foreign object in there, shouldn't I feel something?  My arthritis has made me super-vigilant about my body and pain, especially new ones.  But I have to keep working out or I'll be crawling to the bathroom someday.

So this topic of chest pains isn't as big a deal as being short of breath...I experienced that for 2 weeks, not severely, but enough to change what I could or couldn't do.  I willingly went to monitored rehab after my dosage was changed and I just finished 2 weeks ago.   They said they never had anyone where the Dr. set the rehab requirements so high.....I reached all the goals in 1/2 the time and now back at the gym, hurting the day after I work out 3-4 times/week.  I'm trying to do more reps and less weight but its hard....I feel good working out and then pay for it the next day everywhere except my heart.  I usually max out my aerobic stuff at 144 BPM heart rate.  My blood is thin and now thinner with Plavix so no anti-inflamatory meds for me....they worry about stomach bleeding.   I understand they reduce some of these meds in 6-12 months......we'll see but I'm not looking forward to winter coming!  I live in Ohio but want to be out West asap!

I was told our bodies are rejecting the stint, also both the USA. and Europe working on a stint that is totally consumed into artery and is of material that the body won't reject..Heard Europe is much father ahead on producing the new stint..Probably years in the making. Sounds like the most logical answer?? I have exact same problem also met several people with same also..

I have two stents in place as of April 2012. Started having slight twinges of pain on the left side of my chest. It is not angina and not very painful, just scary as heck. Completed a lot of yard work today and have had these pains for a few hours. Any comments?

I had 3 stents 6 weeks ago.  I passed the stress test and the other test.  I really haven't notice much increase in energy.  The last three days I have noticed a stabbing sensation in my chest and more shortness of breath this past week.  When I wake up in the morning I fell fine and think that it's over.  However, as the day continues I start feeling more of these stabbing pains.  I also had a cough like a flu/cold feeling which started a few months before my heart attack.  The cough has finally started getting better at the same time the stabbing pain has started.  I have a call into my doctor.  So far he has not said he thought anything was in my head.  He did suggest I see my reg doctor for the cough.  I think it's heart related since it started when the chest pain started and got real bad right before my heart attack.  I am like most of you, if this is normal then fine but how do you really know unless they do a cath.

I've been living with similar, just went to my [old] regular Dr. he claims he can cure this within 10 days,, He put me on Zoloft 50 Mg. 1/2 pill a day think if 1 pill would be better,,been 2 days only but i do feel better. This sounds odd but it does seem to be working so far?? Had these chest pains-breathing for 7 months actually seems better so far .. Worth a try. Have been re cathed 3 times..Bob

My name is Stephen Harte. I am an author. I am a one who was near death from severe heart failure for 5 years, which problem really began the day after a very large errant "jailed" drug eluding stent was placed in quite a wrong manner at a major hospital. I really need to reply and post to all those on this site who are suffering so much, and how I was able to very successfully help myself, no thanks to doctors, stents, stem cell surgery, statins, beta blockers, supplements, chelation and on and on. It was all useless, until I discovered this therapy. Stent companies offer no treatment for this, though they should, since they are causing a significant world wide problem. I need to tell you all my story, but it would take hundreds of posts. Instead if interested, read my book available on Amazon Kindle titled: The Cure for Heart Disease (and Cancer Too), by Stephen Harte. You can also Google the book title, and you will find my websites on the book, this subject, and many photos to look at. But don't just rely on the website, as the book has the real info and studies. In the book I show true peer reviewed scientific studies of the benefits of Creatine Pyruvate and various forms of pyruvate for the heart, heart failure, blood vessels. This includes actual studies showing it is better than popular beta blocker, better than ribose, etc. I had a near death heart attack in 2004. As my book explains, my severe chest pain problems really started the day after the large errant stent was implanted in my LAD. It was severe chest pain like an elephant on my chest, a vise grip inside my chest, and it lasted every day for 5 years, until I ran across Pax Beale's website. His odd website saved my life. My book is 604 pages and 61 Chapters. It is available for free some times on Amazon, or at times it is only $2.99. Less than a cup of coffee. The book explains how Pax Beale (who was a former marathon runner in his youth) was able, after 4 years of mortal heart failure after a botched heart bypass, to therapy back his entire heart. He literally grew his heart back, and then he became a world champion bodybuilder beginning at age 63, and dominated the sport of over 50 bodybuilding, until age 77. Pax still weight trains now at age 83. He outlived all of his doctors who predicted his early death. My book tells exactly how Pax did that, and how I simply copied his plan and save my life (I made some minor changes). I traveled to San Francisco and talked to him for days, and even worked out with him. I have improved significantly, and would be dead but for quality made German made Creatine Pyruvate (as Pax insists also) and light weight chest lifts repeatedly. I actually traveled to Bavaria and went to the plant that makes this product, a 100 year old company. I met with the head scientist in charge of the project to learn more. My book explains how I was able to help myself. I have been doing this now for 3 years. It saved my life, no question. It is not perfect for us with errant stents, but it significantly helped me, especially after about 9 months. For Pax who had no stent, just a bypass, it was a 100% heart disease cure. I would be dead now if I did not do this, I am sure of that. My book also shows many scientific studies why careful resistance training may provide benefits to heart patients, unavailable with aerobic training; angiogenesis from resistance training, safety of creatine, benefits or pyruvate, including its ability to stop cancer. There were even studies last year showing forms of pyruvate can stop cancer; these were funded by Lance Armstrong's foundation, and there are other recent successful studies done at Johns Hopkins. Book explains Pyruvate's ability to even reduce damage from radiation, which could be caused during long angioplasty, and information about radiation caused angioplasty injuries which are far more common than doctors will ever admit. Voluminous info all in the book. Book took 8 years to compile and write. It has many other subjects, including the diet Pax and I follow, etc. This is a serious book with lots of info one can look up on the internet (Google Scholar) and verify as completely true, even photos (Johns Hopkins Univ. Medical has photos of animals cured of cancer by forms of Pyurvate). The book also shows history of pyruvate (since Louis Pasteur and others who wrote about a hundred years ago). It also shows theories of other scientists that pyruvate is part of the formation of life in our bodies and on the planet. Quite interesting stuff, There is no book like this. One may not want to take pyruvate, but the book is surely worth reading. Price charged is lowest Kindle would allow me to charge, and no way for me to practically give it away for free, as it is in the Kindle format. Kindle has an amazing free and easy to download App for any PC, ipad, iphone to make it better than a Kindle reader. Good health to all. Stephen Harte, Author

Hello Stephen - I bought your book yesterday and read it till about 2 this morning. It was a great, but horrifying read - very informative for myself as I have just had a mild heart attack on the right artery and I have started on the usual pills since the heart attack 2 months ago. I came to this forum because | searched for pains after angioplasty / stenting. I was recovering well after angioplasty (no stent fitted) - stent could not be fitted. 5th week into the recovery I started swimming lengths 1 at a time. 6th week I started getting palpitations / pressure on the left side of my heart and went back to hospital - I had the chest pains twice that week that lasted 36 hours each. No heart attack signs and after a weeks recovery I passed the dibutomine MRI stress test with no problems. because my right artery could not be stented I started looking for something that would keep my arteries clear and had already started using serrapeptase 4 weeks prior to the MRI. The palpitations left me with an ache and occasional pains / weakness that I can still feel. Your book has given me some hope that I can fix my (mild in comparison) problem and start getting back to real fitness - and maybe - dispence with the pills. I have already ordered the pyruvate. do you know if the Sponsor soy protein is just as good as the soy protein you used from Pax Beales? Your book gets a must read from me for anybody trying to understand their heart attack situation, recovery and consequences. I had read about all the issues with statins prior to my heart attack but I learnt so much more from your description of your particular struggle to find a solution to your problems through the cardiac industry. Its a struggle that many people will relate to. its worth reading before you have a heart attack. The catalogue of errors you faced from the cardiac "professionals" you dealt with is just horrifying. I feel lucky that I am stent free! - at the moment. But I feel grateful that my surgeons were able to clear my heart blockage and give me this window to sort out my problems. Your book has given me a direction to explore. Thank-you for writing the book and making it so easily available for others to learn from.

Hello Edy (and others): Remember as the book explains, the studies show it is Pyruvate that coveys the benefit (over time) combined with light resistance training, chest lifting mostly. I did improve while taking soy itself on the other hand. But Soy was not the actual cause of my improvement itself, as I had tried soy protein itself before is tried pyruvate, and it did me no good as to the chest pain.

Yet soy is something Pax Beale and I both think helped us as part of the mix over time, especially when it replaced meat. Quality Creatine pyruvate which we are sure caused our improvement, is getting hard to find. I just got back from a Zurich meeting with the Sponser folks. They are going to try to find a way to send Alzchem Bavarian Creatine Pyruvate to US customers. I also met with the manufacturer in Bavaria, Alzchem, but they do not wish to sell to the public. It is a shame as the product is wonderful.

As the book tells, the one Chinese brand Creatine Pyruvate I tried, sold by Beyond a Century was useful, but the company tells me they are now trying a different Chinese manufacturer. They assured me it is a good factory. Unclear, as I have not tried it yet. I still have a good supply of Bavarian made Alzchem. In Europe it is so easy to buy, sometimes on store shelves! So contact Sponser and Beyond a Century, see what they say. Remember do not buy Calcium pyruvate, very bad to take for heart patient. We only buy quality Creatine pyruvate.

One can also try Pax Beale's brand too. See which is best. I felt the factory fresh Alzchem Creatine Pyruvate was by far the best. As for soy protein powder, Pax's Brand was fine. There are many others selling Protein Powder on the web and in stores. Very easy to buy (I don't know if Sponser sells a soy protein powder).

Kind regards Stephen Harte, Author of The Cure for Heart Disease (and Cancer too)

Buy the way Edy, if you could write a nice 5 star review on Amazon for the book, it would help others know about all of this; perhaps save lives and suffering? It is easy to write a simple review, as you have already nicely done above, and rank the book 5 stars on Amazon. The book: The Cure For Heart Disease (and Cancer Too) actually goes on sale for free as a Kindle Promo, on Sept. 21 tomorrow. Others should know about Creatine pyruvate, etc. and any benefits of the total therapy. Kind regards, Stephen Harte.

Hi Stephen - I added the 5 star review to amazon uk a few days ago. I also tried the pyruvate today with the soya protein for breakfast only. As my symptoms are different to yours I will just try and see what effects I experience and then add in the exercise slowly. My trouble is that increased exercise gives me post exercise palpitations which I want to avoid as its concerning. When do you find it beneficial to exercise, 1 or 2 hours after taking the pyruvate or anytime during the day?

Hi EDY: Best for you and others reading to refer to those Chapters in my book, otherwise my post would be 20,000 words long! But in short, generally nothing has changed since I wrote the book: The Cure for Heart Disease (and Cancer too), on Amazon Kindle. I take quality German made Creatine Pyruvate every morning with food, eating a meal both before and after I take it, so I don't get a tummy ache. It helps it digest. I sometimes take Cr Pyruvate at 2 separate times, at breakfast and dinner. Some I have read have a theory of taking pyruvate before or after workouts; but that timing is irrelevant to me, as I always have pyruvate in my system day and night. I also drink a lot of fresh water. As the book explains, it is well known to athletes that creatine makes you a bit thirsty. I too had bad arrhythmia (and mortally severe chest pain) in the beginning. It was very scary, as the book tells. It was like my heart was in a vise. I was weak and dying. My heart was failing. I tried various aerobic exercises to no avail; it just got worse over a 5 year period no matter what I did or tried. I was prescribed a hundred types of medicines, beta blockers, ace I, calcium channel b, statins, Ranexa, blood thinners, dozens of kinds of heart supplements, Japanese Co Q 10, Linus Pauling theory supps, arginine, vitamins, treatments, diets, all vegetarian Esselstyn diet, even expensive stem cell surgery in Thailand, Chelation, Phosphytidlcholine IV, all to no avail. I had no improvement in chest pain and arrhythmia at all, no matter what I did or tried. I was dying. Then over the last 3 years, I changed my attempt to just stay alive, beginning over a 9 month period. I had to try something radically different. I switched to light resistance training (beginning very very light) and taking quality creatine pyruvate. My arrhythmia just faded away over that next 9 months, and chest pain improved. I rarely get arrhythmia now, almost never. Cardio rehab experts now get patients to resistance training just after bypass (as opposed to stenting) I have read; sometimes within days of the bypass. Doctors are quite enthused about resistance training just in the last couple years. You should consider going to rehab and request a total emphasis on resistance training, rather than aerobics. Most rehab people will understand why, as there are so many recent positive studies on resistance training for heart patients. My book outlines many of these studies. Show the rehab experts my book. See what can be done to have an expert guide while monitoring you at first, rather than going it alone. Most Insurance pays for much or all of it anyways. Good health, and thank you for the nice review! Perhaps it will help others. Over the weekend Kindle did a feature special on my book. It was acquired by about 700 people worldwide; some 30 books in India alone. Warmest regards, Stephen Harte
