I'm so sorry to hear how long you've been dealing with this but we truly understand your concern. I am the one who mentioned I followed the advice of another poster and did the Angus Cactus pills (vitex) and I also take (well took) Instiol powder (purchased from Amazon). I did both of these together for about 3 months and start seeing results in the first month. I no longer am bleeding and I actually have had a normal cycle (I could tell bc it was the first time in over 7 yrs I bled and had cramps, lol). I stopped taking metformin completely the day I started this combination, and I've had success. Actually for the last few weeks I've stopped even taking these combination (since I had been on it for over 3 months) and I still haven't experienced any bleeding. In addition since I had gained so much weight I also went low carb (less than 50) and low calorie (under 1300). I went from being 273 to 226 today. This worked for me, and I pray it helps someone else also. And thanks to the women who posted about Vitex as that was a blessing for me!!

Daisy here, I'm so glad that Angus had worked well for you! As I stated before, I was taking them for a few months before they stopped working. I've recently started taking them again and I hope now that it will kickstart things again for me. I'm also on a Low Cal diet to try shift my weight, I'm at 245lbs currently.

Please read through the thread...I know its kind of long, however I personally shared what has worked for me after bleeding for 5 years, as well as others....I changed my diet to low carb/low calorie, very little dairy products and red meats...I also took Vitex Agnus Castus called Nature's Way Vitex Fruit (find it on Amazon) as well as Jarrow's Formulas Inositol Powder (on Amazon also) daily for about 6 months....Taking these together worked for me......Now I have even been off of these for the last 3 months and I am taking nothing, and I have a normal cycle, and the bleeding hasn't returned....

Same here... been bleeding for about a year. I'm 40 and live in Canada... Crazy weight gain when 18 and now overweight. No kids (was told I never will so didn't even bother). Some doctors think I have PCOS. But I do not have polycystic ovaries so that is wrong. I do have other symptoms of a syndrome x. For most of my life I had rare periods - once or twice a year. NOW OPPOSITE. Always bleeding. I have been in meetings at a board room table and all of a sudden blood is dripping down my leg into my shoes. This is flooding. The last two days, I went through 44 kotex overnight long pads soaked. Two damn days. They have tried giving me birth control yaz - no help. Fibristol (no i don't have fibroids - they are just trying anything) - no help. Now they are trying progesterone. I haven't taken it yet. I'm so pissed off. If a man was bleeding from his 'thang' for a week, they would have a research unit on it pronto. I have had such bad iron counts that they make me go to the hospital every two weeks for a 4 hour session of IV iron drip. Not only is my life and business on hold (as well as my hubby) but i also have to spend hours attached to machines to get my iron. YES - THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH US.... THEY JUST DON"T KNOW WHAT. So get on it already 'medical community'. I want to rig up a fake bladder of blood and stick it on a few doctors for random release at inopportune times. Then dial it up to where they have to change their pads every half hour. See how productive and happy your life is. SO ANGRY.... TIRED..... FRUSTRATED....

I have had my period for over a year straight. I have gone to several doctors. Just recently I went to the obgyn and had an ultrasound they said my uteris lining was too thin. So I got an iud or skyla. It's been two days and I've had little to no bleeding! (The ultra sound was done with a wand looking thing)

It has been now over 11 months for me. With painful cramps. Crippling cramps at 1st but after half a year im almost used yo the pain. So many docs, meds, hormones, even laporoscopies. Cant figure it out. Exam after exam amd everything is normal. Never been heavy but its constant. Ill have a couple days with no blood but ive learned not to get m hopes up because it never lasts more than 2 days. Its draining. Mentally, physically, on the relationship. It started about a year after birth of my child. Started when i was 25, now 26. Thought i was healthy until about a year ago. Im happy to know im not the only one but so sorry you are all going through this. Any answeres yet. Every doc i have seen repeats yhe same tests and are stumped (though they wont admit it) thinking about writing the show "the doctors" at this point

Read through the chat. There are a few ladies that have had success with natural products, change in diet, etc. I'm one. After 5 yrs of bleeding, the last 8 months I've been normal with a normal cycle and no abnormal blood anymore. My doctors couldn't explain, but I could. Prayer, change of diet and natural products.

my daughter is only 11 years old and woke up to a pool of blood and clots, this was ongoing for a month back and forth to the emergency room and a pediatric OBGYN. She was filling up and overnight pad every hour. Might I add she is in school and actively playing in sports. This was very embarrassing and uncomfortable for her. Her social life has came to a stop. She was still having heavy bleeding with clots and they had her taking the pill (she took 4 a day). Yes the blood clots had stopped and the bleeding slowed down a little. But my insurance was not allowing me to keep refilling her prescription over and over. Blood test and ultra sounds all turned out ok. She is so young and was very uncomfortable with the pap. We finally had an IUD placed and was told the bleeding would come to a stop after a month. It has been over a year now and she is still bleeding everyday as if she was on a normal period. I have no idea what else I can do for her, I hate to see her going through all this at such a young age. I am asking anyone if they have any other ideas or suggestion of another route that we can try.

Please read through the thread. A few people like myself have found success in natural products. I personally bled for almost 7 yrs, no children and refused to have a hysterectomy.

Hello, everyone! I'm not a doctor in any way but I do believe I may have answers for some of you! I have been deaLing with this same problem now for years with no days off, I had take to my doctor about this and he did the same and just pushed if off as normal the same way most of your doctors did, so I left it at that. My husband and I wanted to start a family and I, like some of you were worried if I even could. So I went to see a specialist! He had told me " layman's terms" that the chemical that my body produces to shed the lining of my uterus is not producing enough at one time! So to break it down my body is producing just enough of the chemical to shed only a small part of my uterus , once this happens I bleed from that spot of my uterus like I would any other period, but here's where it gets interesting, my body realizes that I still need to shed my uterine wall so now my body makes the chemical again and my uterus sheds a small spot again from a different spot. Again my body did not create enough of the chemical to shed my entire lining just that small part, this is when my period actually starts again! So end the end you are actually having 4 to 5 periods a month giving you a none stop bleed for months even years! I hope this help you ladies, I know just knowing what was going on helped me! There is no cure and doctors don't know why it happens all they say is it can be managed with birth control pills, even some women BC pills don't work. I wish all you luck my self included! If you have any questions or I did not explain this well just let me know! Again, I am not a Doctor and everyone is different!

I know how your daughter feels, my mother found me in a pool of blood when I was 11 years old, she thought I had been stabbed with a knife or shot in my sleep, she shoved me in the shower so fast I didn't know what was happening. Tell her to hang in there the pills will help I know they did me and I'm sorry about your insurance I know it can get costly.

I'VE FOUND MY PEOPLE!
I know that sounds really insensitive, but I hope you all understand how scary it is thinking you're the only one with this. I've been on my period for 19months now with no breaks and it is exhausting.
I'm currently 24 and when I started my periods at 16 I would only have about 2 a year. Then I had the implant (in my arm) and it started the 'Red River of Doom'. Since then I've had the Depo injection on its own and then combined with the Pill to try and reduce it. The doctors are flummoxed and just keep saying they don't know. I have a month and half left of my Pill to take before I need to go back, under the understanding of "if it's stopped then I'll examine your womb, if not then we'll have to see what to do next". I'm so, so tired and frustrated. It was mentioned that I had a little bit on anemia as well but you can see on my pale face that I'm exhausted. It's also been mentioned by numerous people who don't know my condition - only my nearest and dearest do - that it looks like I have black eyes. My boyfriend has been understanding but it's not fair on us not having that part of our relationship - we're young and want to enjoy it. You sort of feel robbed of your life a little, you know?
I don't have any answers for people as I'm in the "we don't know what's going on" boat, but I just wanted to be another voice on this thread. I will look up those amazon products listed by another user, but I worry that the main problem gets ignored if I do. Me and my partner want to have babies next year, something we desperately want but feels like a fading hope sometimes...
Thank you for your stories ladies, it really has helped relieve my feelings of isolation. I'll keep popping back onto this thread and if any progress happens my way then I'll let you all know.
