I got my period for the first time on June 21 last year. I was 13 then. That period lasted until a week before August. I didn't get my period again until January 18, and it lasted only 9 days. I turned 14 in April, still no period. I finally got my period yesterday(July 1). Is that normal to get them so far apart?

I had a somewhat similar experience. I first got my period right after I turned 14, and my next two periods were each 10 months after the previous one. (All normal length though) After that I started getting my period more frequently, though still fairly irregular. I am 20 now, and I would say my period has been fairly normal the past few years, and I am healthy. Therefore, I'm guessing you don't need to worry. Best wishes!

For the first few months or years of your period, it is perfectly normal to not have a regular cycle. You may miss a few months or your period may come soon after your last, it's normal. Most people's first few periods are like this actually, so it's really nothing to be too worried about! Best wishes! :-D
