i had a miscarriage 6 days ago i was about 6 weeks along. i bleed really heavy for about 3 hours then it changed to light spotting. now its heavy again and i am having slight pain. i had had an appointment made to start prenatal care and when i called my doctor they told me to just cancel my appointment and they didn't ask me to come back in. so i just don't know what to do.

This is normal, every woman who goes through a miscarriage has pain and bleeding. Some women bleed for a shorter time and others a longer time. The only time to be concerned is if you are passing clots the size of your fist or larger and filling a pad every hour or more, some doctors say 2 pads in a hour. Take some ibuprofen and use a heating pad on your abdomen.
