I'm a 27 year old female. I take Acyclovir every night for a possible lingering viral infection. Twice now i have experienced the feeling of "a pill stuck in my throat". When i take the medication it goes down with no problem, even though it's huge! But now, (the next morning), I have a burning sensation in my throat, feels like the pill is stuck, pain in my chest area when i swallow...as if there is air stuck in my throat. If i burp to try and get the air out, it's painful....as if it's struggling to get past something that's stuck. It's seriously the weirdest feeling ever. Now, i almost feel nauseous.
The last time this happened i thought that maybe the pill did get stuck, but now i'm wondering if this is heartburn or what...
Has anyone ever experienced this after taking medication?
Do my symptoms sound like heartburn? :?
