last week i starting getting a sharp pain under my left rib. it felt like someone had knocked my wind out and the pain would last for about 10min at a time then leave and return again after 10 min. this repeated for about 3 hours. then this morning it returned but this time it was a constant pain that occured and lasted for over 5hours. it was such a sharp uncomfortable sore pain, i was strugglying to breathe and became teary from fright. i couldnt walk, move, talk, or breathe without the pain. i thought it was a combination of a spasm or hunger pain, so had something to eat, but it didnt improve at all. i went to the doctor who doesnt know what it is? after waiting 2,5 hours to see a doctor, i was sent home with no explanation. i know something is wrong, to go through the pain i did cant be normal. does anyone have any issues as to what i should do?

The type of pain you describe usually happens when you break one or more ribs, but I think that you would have remembered something like that. But, maybe you had some injuries, relatively recently? There is a good chance that your pain is caused by a gas buildup, even though it seems because of its strength that it’s something very serious. There are a couple of ways to get rid of this gas buildup. First way is to lay flat with no pillows and keep trying to burp. If this does not work then try pulling up on a bar. You can use anything as long as you are pulling away from yourself. While you are pulling up or away breath in really hard and try to burp. If the pain hasn’t stopped by now, it would probably be smartest to return to hospital and check it once more.
