I have been suffering from a cramp on the right side of my stomach for 7 months now.The pain happens where my ribs are located. The cramp comes when I am under stress, been standing for more than 15 minutes, working out for more than 30 minutes. It's difficult to take a deep breath when this cramp occurs. The cramp usually lasts for about 20 min's. I get it several times a day depending on what I am doing. I have had chest x- rays, blood work, and sonogram of bladder done. All tests came back negative. Was given inflammation medicine but that didn't help. A few weeks ago I started getting a little chest pain. The pain lasts for about 15 minutes. Chest pain doesn't happen everyday. In the past month, I have had it about 6 times.
When this pain started I was going through a stressful period in my life. I also started working out a lot to loose some weight. My workout consist of some cardio and strength training. I stopped working out so much when the pain started. I am a young 23 female completing graduate studies.

Most obvious cause for this pain would be some sprung muscle that has been a little bit inflamed so that it causes this pain when you try to breathe. When you start working out, particularly on your own, it’s very important that at least at start you listen and try out some advices from professionals so that you could avoid these kinds of injuries. If no one can correct you when you are doing something wrong there are bigger chances that small injuries will combine and make a bigger mess.
It’s not uncommon that bursts of sharp pain that usually can be located on the right side of body to be caused by gas that has collected inside your stomach. You can try to release that gas by lay flat with no pillows and keep trying to burp. If this does not work then try pulling up on a bar. You can use anything as long as you are pulling away from yourself. While you are pulling up or away breath in really hard and try to burp.
