I am 35 years old and not a big drinker, never have been. Ever since I first started to drink I have suffered servere pain in my stomach, although it is up high, in between the middle of my rib cage. It is a burning pain that makes me fell like passing out. I have to stop drinking and pull my legs up to my chest and just wait for the pain to go, usually about half an hour.

Now the strange part is that it happens after I have drank a particular type of alcohol for a period of time, say Vodka. I could drink it for say 6 or 12 months with no issues and then all of a sudden, the pain hits, and then I will not ever be able to drink that again, even a few mouthfulls will bring the pain back instantly, it could be 6 months or a year or 5 later.

Now there is really not much I can drink, as I have just about been through most liqures and spirits. I dont like wine and am gluten free so can't drink beer. I am starting to bothered by this as when everyone is partying I am the boring one, it sucks.

What could this be??? Please help me so I can enjoy a cpouple of drinks this christmas.
