Im 27 and have just been told my my GP i have PCOS and would just like to see if there is anyone els my age and is going through or has gone through the same as me. Im so new to all this and the more i read up the more scared i get.
This is my story so far....I don't have regular periods and can go for 3 to 5months with out having one but then when i do have a period it is really heavy and so painful (like someone is ripping my stomach out with a knife and i can move). It gets that bad i cant even move out of bed i just lay there in a ball in so much pain.
I can be on the toilet 4 20min at a time then need to go again within 10mins. its so heavy and painful. I Have been to my GP and asked for tests to be done as Pcos runs in my family. True to what i thought the problem was i do have Pcos.
I'm still trying to find out more about this and if anyone els with Pcos has sever lover Pain coming from there Ovaries? The pain is so painful but im not on my Period and the pain has been over a week now. I normally have lover pain 3days before i'm about to come on but this pain has been over a week now, What should i do?

My GP thinks I might have PCOS and I have occasional pains on the sides of my ovaries. The pains are sharp and seldom, but strong.
How can I stop having them?
