polip on the brain , ,

hi ive been told that i have a polip on the left side of my brain ,, this was after me asking for a scan of my brain cause i have had a pain ,, like a stabbing pain in one place of my head / brain . i ignored it for a year and a half trying to eliminate different things ,, ie stress , (i was building a house - tooth ache .. went to the dentist and got everything sorted ,but still the pain persisted .. then went to my gp saw a locum he sent me for a xray of my neck ,, surprise there was no problem with my neck the pain got more frequent and lasted for longer so went back to the gp 5 months later and saw my gp ,, she sent me for blood test and a scan ,, the bloods came back fine ,, and the scan came back saying that i had a polip on the left side of my brain, will be seeing my gp tomorrow for a chat ,, but would like as much info a possible
could you shed any light ,, thanks
