I'm a 25 year old female and I have had constant lightheadedness since January. Nothing helps, it's there whether I am lying down, sitting, or standing. This has lead to a series of several doctor visits which I'm sure a lot of you can relate to. I currently take Inderal LA for borderline prolonged QT syndrome (never had any fainting or any other traditional symptoms of prolonged QT, in fact doctors want to take me off of it) and I have been doing relatively well for the past 10 years that I have been on it up until now. Shortly after my lightheadedness started in January of this year, I began to have tension headaches and pain in my neck. The doctors concluded that it was from my desk job and sent me to physical therapy for tension in my neck. I have been going to physical therapy and the chiropractor for weeks now and my headaches have gotten a lot better, but my lighteheadedness is still here. I recently went to go see an electrophysiologist who is having me do a stress test next week, along with an event monitor. I have had several blood tests to rule out thyroid problems, diabetes, etc... I have had an EKG, holter, and echo which all came back normal. The doctor won't do a tilt table test until we finish the stress and event monitor test which could be a month! I understand that POTS is a fast hearbeat after standing up. I went to the doctor yesterday and she did a quick test with me lying down and then me standing up. My blood pressure slightly increased and my pulse increased by 20 beats but then went back to normal. Do people with POTS have a constant fast heartbeat after standing up? I'm also going to the neurologist in a week. I don't understand how I can feel so bad everyday and no one can find anything wrong. I also have anxiety so it's hard to tell sometimes if it's anxiety or if it's a heart problem. I'm still young and I can't live like this. This all happened so suddenly, just around December I was still doing well and then all of a sudden I feel disabled. Any support, advice, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

I totaly understand you frustration, I am in the same rocky boat as you. I am disabled due to Meniere's disease but they say the lightheadedness is not anything to do with the Meniere's and the seizures I had this fall sent me to ER and off to Neuro which led to a battery of tests and MRI all came back negative. How can one feel so awful and all the tests be negative. I am unable to walk much for fear of falling, I am tired all the time, have migraines, allergies, anxiety and yes depression but who would not be depressed when ones quality of life has been taken away or so limited and nobody has any answers. I'm beginning to question my own sanity.
