I had very shallow, unprotected sex three days before my period, and the guy stated he didn't cum. Now, I know you can still get pregnant but what's the chance? I have an immense fear that I may be pregnant and I've done research about the possiblility of not being pregnant and I find all these stories about women who had sex three days before their period and had shallow sex and all that mess and still got pregnant. I am also an extremely competitive swimmer and work out immensely every day. All I want to know is is it more possible that I am not pregnant or am pregnant. I do not want to be, because I want to finish school and still compete. Please help!

Have you missed a period? If so have you taken a pregnancy test? If not then wait for your next period and if you miss it take a pregnancy test. Shallow or deep doesnt matter since sperm can live inside of you on average 3 days up to 5 days if conditions are right. It is possible to conceive right before your period if you ovulated late in your cycle. Pre-cum contains active sperm in most men and could lead to pregnancy. Did you get the period after the unprotected sex? Sometimes when your stressed out it can cause a late or missed period. Also when you are working out vigoriously on a regular basis it can cause your period to stop. Good Luck

Since you are having a period there is no reason to be worried about pregnancy. A period is the shedding of the uterine wall lining. During this process it could cause you to have a miscarriage if you were pregnant. Since your not ready for a baby I suggest using condoms AND you get on some kind of birth control. Using one is better than nothing but using both is the best way to go. Condoms will protect you from STD's and pregnancy and adding birth control will help by preventing pregnancy if the condom slips or breaks (which can happen from time to time.)
