I am glad (i mean no disrespect) to see I am not the only person suffering from this. I was beginning to think this is just my body but I did some of my own research.
I had a TT and breast aug 3/13. Recovery was very painful. The tummy tuck pain was so intense that I never felt pain or discomfort from breast surgery. The dr said the TT pain was so intense my brain overrided the breast procedure.
I ended up with a seroma which I informed my dr. Needless to say after drains, aspirations and therapy massages there was nothing more that could be done. My dr said that the swelling would go away with time.
Reality is the swelling has only become worse with time and hardening like a rock. In addition I can not have a BM without medication and enemas. I saw a specialist and had an endoscopy and a colonoscopy which both check out fine. The problem is I can no longer feel my stomach from my navel down. If there is a sensation from the surgery that is trying to fees me a warning sign I can not receive it as I do not feel.
What I do feel is incredible stretching, bloating and hardening of my stomach which gives me back pains!
My thought on the swelling - yes it is indeed trauma to the body and like all things broken it takes time to heal. My thought and what concerns me even more is the lympathic drain system. When we have a TT do they not sever many of the vessels? How do they reconnect? Once they are severed how are the fluids and toxins drained properly throughout the body?
While my fears run high I am no dr. I have to sleep with compression socks and a garment if I do not want to wake up looking pregnant. If so that look does not roll around until about 4pm where my stomach and now legs look as though I haven't worked out in yrs! I was a marathon runner, I worked out 4 days a week. I elected to have a TT because I had twins 9 yrs ago.
In all reality my body was beautiful compared to what it is now. Did I also mention my incision has dog ear in which I would refer to as dumbo ears? I can pull them up and they are 4" long and 1.5 inches wide!
Can a dr please give feed back here to help understand what is going wrong with so many surgeries. I am not blaming my dr as I interviewed 7 different ones and paid to have a consult with many. I selected my dr because he is the best (not the cheapest either). Is there a bigger problem?

Did anything get better for you? I am also super frustrated because I look way worse and my health is failing post TT and I was super healthy before this. I have severe pain, bloating and look pregnant. I was small to begin with too and worked out often and now cannot even do basic life functions still 5 months out. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I also had the Breast reduction and FTT at the same time and really didn't need it. My brain too overrode that pain because the TT was unbearable.
