I just had ambulatory surgery yesterday, I feel very warm, my face is very red and feels very warm, yet when I take my temperature orally, it reads 95.5. Could this be indicative of something going wrong?

No, not necessarily. It can take some time for the effects of the anesthesia to fully wear off, sometimes a couple of days depending upon how much was used, etc.
