I'm 32. Had tonsillectomy on the 8th of September, 2009. I haven't had any complications but I'm worried about the way the healing is coming along. I think it looks odd on the left side. The right side looks "normal" and smooth but there's something on the left side. I don't know what it is or if it's something to be concerned about and if something should be done.

http://img4.imageshack.us/i/picture17wc.jpg/ I know it doesn't show well but there arer uneven lumps or whatever you want to call it. It's sore if I touch it and it smells. Is it something they didn't get out? The tonsil on the left side was very low and small so I worried they'd miss it completely but I felt reassured with the huge scabs on both the right and left side. XD There was nothing like what I see now, pre-tonsillectomy. I'm not sure it was there in the first weeks after surgery either.

Hi there, I think that the best thing that you should do is just get a quick consultation after the surgery for this. I don't think it's anything to be concerned about but get a professional opinion on it, okay? And let me know how it goes okay?
