So my boyfriend wants to "go raw" ( not use a condom ) when we have sex. & I was okay with it because he said he'd pull out. But then someone told me about pre-cum but I don't really know what that is or what it does, could someone explain this too me ?

Hi Guest,

Precum is a fluid released by the Cowpers gland at the base of the penis.  It helps clean the urethra and provides for some lubrication during intercourse.

IF he has not recently ejaculated, as in since the last time he urinated, precum is considered NOT to contain sperm.  If he has recently ejaculated, precum may contain sperm.

There is always the chance of pregnancy with any sexual contact.  Condoms also help prevent against any possible STD's, if he has any.

Hope it helps.
