I am 44 years old and I have had my tubes tied for 16 years I have always been regular with my periods. Recently, in Oct I was 9 days late and my breast was very tender, but are no longer tender. November I didn't have a period at all. Should I be concerned about this or should I just wait before panicking.

It is quite possible that you are starting perimenopause. It is a transitional period that may last up to 10-15 years before actual menopause taking place. In perimenopause, hormonal levels start to decline and hence all the negative side effects and irregular symptoms.

You might wnat to take a pregnancy test just to be sure. They say getting your tubes tied is really only valid for 10 years .
