Ok. I got the shot at the end of March & me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex THE DAY AFTER I GOT IT. I was supposed to get my period about 4 days ago and today I just spotted barely anything. I would wear a pad just in case I was gonna start but nothing would be on it, but when I would wipe myself the blood literally looks like water (a very faint color) I don’t know if it’s side effects from the shot or could I be pregnant?

Its all symptoms of the depo shot. The depo shot is a progestin based shot its symptoms are that of pregnancy. Yoir basically getting a hormone shot up your butt and your body needs to get used to it there fore you will have side effects. Spoting is completely normal when you have the depo shot the forst 3-9 months. Your going to get sick and just like most hormones your digestive system is gonna be all out of wack. I threw up for 3 weeks when i first started and it was worsr when i was on my period. Litterally look up "depo shot symptoms" or contact your obgyn and they will help.

Every time it is close to my shot date I start getting the same symptoms but I know for a fact I am not pregnant, I believe it is just because the hormone starts to fade off a little so your body starts to regulate itself again which is why you're probably feeling the possibility of period cramps and the spotting. I did talk to my doctor about this and it is also because your uterus still has to shed its lining to keep itself clean which is why you spit and feel cramping.
