Hello there! My son( 7 years old ) has had constipation for quite some time and my best friend told me that she heard of some capsules called primadophilus that can help treat it. Is this true? Has anybody tried them before on children? I could use some advice bc I don’t like to look at my son's suffering. Thank you!

Hello! I think that your friend didn’t understand well. Often it happens that diarrhea, constipation, intestinal infections and certain medications can reduce the number of beneficial bacteria which can lead to gastrointestinal problems. A remedy called PRIMADOPHILUS JUNIOR is designed to deliver to the gut the beneficial microorganisms essential to maintenance of healthy intestinal flora. At least this is the way I understood it, that it doesn’t treat constipation. What I think you should do is figure out what is causing your child’s constipation and try to change some living habits, you can even ask for doctors advice, if he continues with this, he may develop hemorrhoids.
