Lol that nasty exzema sh*t is still a million times better than herpes - knowing it's not contagious is a huge relief. I've had these same symptoms as u guys, itchy at the beginning and then it gets worse and then flaky n sh*t, and freaked out for 2 days until I flashed that I've had a little bit of exzema on the inside of my elbows and on my arm since I was young, nothing too harmful or buggy, I have a cortizone cream for it which works WONDERS. I put that sh*t on the exzema, it burns like hell right after but the next day it's usually a lot better. I'm considering trying it for my dickzema lol but kinda scared of the possible outcomes of that choice - if my diagnosis is wrong and it is something else, will I make it worse? Anyways, if anyone has any idea if the use of cortizone on my love stick could hurt it, I'd definately like to know cuz going to the doctor would be my last choice

I've read each and every posting on this topic and can easily relate to this. I have very similar concerns as to what exactly this "rash" is. To respond to some of you from my related issues and research: I do not have anything affecting any other part of my body. My situation started simply with one circularly/ovally-shaped, slightly raised and fungal-looking, bright, red patch about 3 CM's in diameter. This was approximately 5 months ago. It has not gone away. In fact, it has spread where there are now additional spots elsewhere somewhat near the original. These others (3 in total, but look like more are on the way) are located on the outer edge of the top of the head area (right on the actual rim edge). These others are smaller in size (approx 2cm in diameter).

To those fighting other problems that are affecting finger and toe nails, this symptom is related to Psoriasis. To those that can respond to possibly having this occur after "getting head", I am included in this conversation. I noticed the first red patch just under my head on the shaft exactly where my wife bit me using her teeth during oral sex. I thought it was nothing more than a "bite mark" that will just go away. Unfortunately, it hasn't, and the others have appeared approx 1-4 months after sporadically. My wife is prone to getting cold sores (which is a type of Herpes), so my first thought was it was Herpes... but there is absolutely no pain whatsoever which tells me otherwise.

I often believe my masturbating has only spread it. I am not concerned this was something that manifested as an STD. I have not been checked and I am now at the point where I am concerned. Penile Cancer does not sound good and I will definitely get this looked into. The embarrassment has delayed my doctor's visit.

I am prone to think this is a fungus from reading other posts, but it seems as though the others who have tried fungal creams are not having much success.

The bright redness only shows itself when there is some type of chaffing (through masturbation). After a few days, the redness goes away, it scabs over a little, and the legions simply soften in appearance to a pinkish color, but it's always there.

There is absolutely no pain and no itching. It is just THERE! And now it's spreading slightly. It is not completely ungodly to look at - especially when it is not bright, but the bright red appearance is not a happy sight.

I will follow up with a doctor's visit... but I sincerely hope that I do not get the run-around on this. I am concerned a dermatologist will say one thing and my primary will say another, and the next thing you know, I've visited 5 doctors who are all saying different things.

If anyone can shed some more light on this topic, please chime in and inform us if there has been anything that helps rid this pesky problem.

i have had eczema my whole life usually on my hands and inside my elbows. i have horrible skin problems and so do my brothers and sisters. i live in a cold place so that doesnt help either. i noticed these symptoms on my penis a couple of weeks ago and have been wondering the same as everyone else. it doesnt feel bad unless i go to town on my dork by either beatin off or sex. usually it feels fine after a shower but ive noticed that i lately have been getting similar looking bumps around my mouth which i have gotten off and on for years even before i was sexually active. i have had my face, hand , and elbows checked by multiple dermatologists and they have always said its eczema or another rosasia or something or another which is techinical for your skin is messed up. i wanted to know if anyone else has experianced similar bumps around there mouths or other parts of there bodies. please respond i will check back here soon. i would also like to hear any more DR updates from anyone who mans up and gets it checked out.

the folks with raised (painless) bumps may have HPV which according to my doctor is completely unrelated to the eczema. I'm not 100% sure he is right about that (and even less sure after reading the guy a couple posts up from that described almost my exact scenario/onset- a little teeth action during oral sex, bumps just below the tip, etc), but i am going to go with what he says for now for lack of any other educated explanation. It is just very coincidental that the eczema seems to be exactly where i had the bumps. I suppose its possible that the bumps are not actually hpv but symptoms of the eczema, but who knows...

Anyway, the doctor (urologist) referred me to a dermatologist who will probly tell me the late breaking news that it is eczema and there is no real cure. Before i waste anymore time and money in doctors offices i'm going to moisturize daily, try some evening primrose oil, maybe some sun and abstain from any contact (sexual or otherwise) which will certainly be the most difficult step. If i'm still having problems after a month or so of this home remedy concoction i'll see if the dermatologist can offer any other/better advice.

Just thought i would share my $.02 and experience- especially since some of you guys are trying to stay out of the dr's office.

Hey guys whats going on. I would like to post here and see if anybody could answer this for me. Just like you guys I've developed a tiny red rash on my penis but my story is a little different heh.

I am uncircumsized and I belive the rash is from masturbating but this is where it gets a bit off. I'll try to explain it as best as I can heh. Obviously you know pre-cum and when I masturbate the pre-cum would get on my finger and what not as I would still be going at it heh. Well the area that has the tiny rash I belive is caused by me rubbing the pre-cum over it and I belive it eventualy formed this tiny rash. It gets flaky but not alot and I can definately see the outline of my normal penis sharf skin color and the rash. I wash regularly and as far as girls go there are none at all so it's all on my own doing ;/. My family doesn't have past history of eczema so I don't think it's it.

Question is. Can pre-cum cause penis rashes like this? *shrugs*

Yeah, I have the same deal, I always looked online at the pictures of eczema and it never looked the same, however google is good for showing you the most extreme cases, I found a random picture posted by a doctor on some forum and it was spot on. Unfortunately my eczema started on my penis from a lube my girl purchased, and from itching it then my skin other places spread, now it's on my arms however I thought it was bacterial so I was putting Nyastatin on it for some time, however once I realized what it was some "Body Butter" and a good shower each day works wonders, already starting to disappear on my arms.

Im a 25 year old male. I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, got a test it came bag negative. the doctor told me the same thing, eczema.

Bellow is a picture of my penis showing the Eczema, hope it doesn't offend anyone. It it hurts sometimes after sexual activity, no serous pain but pain. and it gets fired up like it is here. It seems to bulge out a bit and is rather sensative most of the time. Bottom line i think this is some new std that you can get from your .

I think this is some new type of STD that you can get on your hands and then transfer to your penis. The doctors are just calling it Eczema because they have no idea what it is!

I wonder if there is any similar cases in women?

Just thought I'd share something I discovered on my own which might help other people. If you are like most people, myself included, the first thing that we do when a rash come on in an area like our genitals is to break out all the cleaners and disinfectants and clean clean clean, both our genitals and body and sometimes our entire living space... or we run off to the doctor in which case the most likely outcome even if an STD is not found to be the case is the doctor prescribing a topical ointment or a round of antibiotics. Well, after years of suffering I finally figured out that those methods may not always be the wisest.

MY EXPERIENCE:
I have taken many antibiotics over the years and when I was younger I also tended to use a lot of bleach to clean things around the house. In the end I found myself suffering from allergies and chronic dermititis like a red rash or bloom on the head of my penis and foreskin which would cycle off and on from time to time. After years of this, I heard the following article about research done by Dr. Julie Segre of the National Human Genome Research Institute into bacteria and other microbes which reside on different parts of the body. She made it clear that our bodies cells are out numbered 10 to 1 by bacteria and other microrganisms, and that different parts of our bodies are colonized by different collections of bacteria and other organisms. This made sense to me, so I decided to run a little experiment. If the chronic dermtitis I was experiencing on my penis was due to an imbalance in the bacteria living in my foreskin and penis (and not due to stress, chronic infections or allergies) then someone with a healthy bacterial collection might be able to repopulate my genital area under the foreskin. Luckily for me my partner does not suffer from any problems like yeast infections or STDs so I had her scrape a little of her smegma from between her labias and smear it around the head of my penis were my foreskin covered it up. We did this each night for roughly a week and I made sure she never touched her genitals with the same finger that just touched my penis during each session and that she washed her hands afterwards - a safeguard to make sure that if I had something nasty it did not transfer to her (we use condoms as a contraceptive). After a few days the rash went away completely and after 3 months now I have not seen it since. I would wager to say this method could also work with same sex couples. What is amazing is that once things are right again you do not have to retreat the area again or doing any special cleaning. My word of caution would be to make sure neither one of you has some kind of STD or other infectious diseases first. Also I would guess that this could work on any part of the body that is warm and moist -like under the toe nails for people with nail fungus problems.

I have had a cold since and have come into my allergy season but still no sign of a rash.

My partner suspects that people who are prone to this kind of problem who do not use condoms while having sex probably never have this kind of problem, because of the constant repopulation of healthy bacteria during the direct genital to genital contact. Who knows - but a little smegma can go a long way and besides its free and does not need a prescription. Unfortunately I do not have any suggestions for a single person.

FOR THOSE USING A LUBRICANT
KY Jelly contains an anti-bacterial (Chlorhexidine Gluconate), anti-fungal (Methylparaben) and a pH rising caustic soda 'lye' (Sodium Hydroxide). So what could be happening (my theory only) is that if you use it frequently you may be killing the healthy balance of microorganisms that live in the skin of your genitals. When you get enthusiastic and create irritaton/inflammation and then go to wash off afterwords all you have done is introduced a new collection of bacteria and fungi from your towel which came in from the air. Even though you may feel dry after towelling off you skin, your skin is still moist and ripe for infections. A much more healthy and definitely cheaper alternative to KY Jelly or any other similar lubricant is to make up your own lubricant with simple methylcellulose and clean tap water. Methylcellulose can be bought at many health food stores as a fine white powder. Many people with intolerance to wheat use it as an ingredient in wheat free baking. Just 1/4 of teaspoon (1.25 ml) whipped up in a glass of warm water will not have any of these unforeseen complications.

Good Luck,
Mr. Mike Robe

An Ayurvedic treatment for Eczema is to mix turmeric with whatever steroid type cream you're applying to the area. Neem is also good (they can be taken internally as well). I have this problem on my penis and it seems to be helping.

I have just started to see the same symptoms in the last few days. The shaft of my penis has been sore when I begin to get an erection and today I notice it had cracked in a few areas and little red dots appeared in the underside and one split on the topside of my penis when I was masturbating. I have no irritation on the head, just the shaft. It was also sore to the touch on those spots. I have never had another sex partner aside from my wife and neither has she. I'm nervous about telling her as I don't have any answers. I was nervous because I haven't done anything different then usual. I am glad to hear that it's probably just eczema as that runs in the family as well as psoriasis (which I have on the bottom of my feet).

Yessery,
This happened to me too. I have a porn habit and i have had eczema for years starting when I did a super cleanse, (if you do this I recommend mildly cleansing beforehand) but it came and never whent away. Just recently I jacked off with baby oil and the next day I had almost blister like symptoms on my penis. It dried up and flaked off and for the past couple of weeks it is just like all the other places on myself inflicted with the god forsaken eczema. I smoke, and drink coffee, and eat sugar, and cheese and I don't think the itching will stop until these toxins are reduced. If i get angry or stressed I just start itching, or masturbating and now it is a painful pleasure. You got eczema spanky welcome to the world of steroid creme and boring diets. it is easy to cure with a low stress life style and a careful diet though. I did it before I am just a bad example of what you could do. Caffeine and sugar seem to be the biggest triggers besides anger for myself.

Well Fellas,

I never had excema as a kid and didn't develop "signs" until I was around 22-23. Coincidentally the same time I was having a great time as most of us do at that age. I got tested at least 6 times (rodded gentlemen) and they always came back negative. Around that time I learned that guys can get yeast infections from women. I found out before she did and I was stuck using the same cream... Anyways, the bottome line here is that I developed these red raised bumps that looked like poison ivy/oak around my penis. I freaked out fellas! I went to the Doc and she looked through all her books and past files on people and told me it was excema. These itch and hurt sometimes, then pop, and go away in 2-3 days. All in all the process takes about a week. I have thought it was herpes or another STD but all the tests I had were negative (blood, scrapes, etc) I'm now 30 and the rash or whatever appears randomly at different spots around my groin. I have gone months without an outbreak and then will have it twice in the same month. I have been with the same woman for 5 years and we have 2 children. My wife nor my kids have tested positive for herpes. One of my kids does have excema and we all know by now it's genetic. This shyt is problematic but not world ending so far. I'm currently in a desert overseas and this has only happened twice in a year. I have read the other articles posted and I will try some of the supplement suggestions.

Honestly, I have had sex a few times with a flare up (retarded yes but they didn't hurt) and the individuals have never tested positive for any STD's. It's scary as hell when it happens but life is ever changing and a compicated *****.

Good luck to you all.

Sir- I had got reddish blemishes on my penis head of an unknown source? I tested for most stds- including hiv/aids and my tes

results came back all negative. Knock on wood. But I had un-protected oral sex, so I thought maybe std? Herpes was another possiblity, butb

But doctors said its not herpes cos I'd have blisrering-which I don't have. So I prob have a skin irritation of sorts?

To answer your question to alternative therapy, I found taking 2 showers every other day-with myself cupping warm water and. Heavily was

ashing the head of my penis seemed to dry out the spots and make them

M go away. But I ended up masterbating And it kinda came back? Maybe a friction issue? Well, I quit masterbating and it seems to be less

red. So I think I'll not touch my dong, and just have sex with condom on if I do get laid? For occasional redness doctor prescribed hydrocortisone

I use as little as possible as I don't like using it. that said, the water wash down seems to help. Hope this helps.

It IS eczema. I have just been diagbosed with it by a Doctor too. He had a pharmacist mix a steroid cream and a an anti-fungal (in case some yeast or other fungus may have gotten in the broken skin) 3 days of cream treatment and it's 100 times better. Go to the doctor and make sure, because the eczema and a yeast infection look VERY similar. Good Luck!
