last april my dr put a stent in me.after going through 3 sets of shock wave c**p my dr then tells me that I will have to have surgery to get the stone out,which will include around 30-90 minutes of being awake while they run a tube through my side and into my kidney.then he will put me to sleep for the rest.then he tells me that I should have already come back for the stent removal an he trys to take it out(twice)it will NOT budge! so,he then sends me to his little room an tells me that 'I have put THEM? and me in jepardy of losing MY kidney"wtf an now I have to go into the hospital on the 8th of jan an have the thing removed.now hes got me scared to death of dying or losing my kidney,now I really dont need this c**p from this man.I have a 9 yo who is scared they are going to lose one of their parents or both in one week an my husband goes into surgery 1 day before me to have 2 toes ampuatated an he has heart problems that make this very dangerous for him. plus my 17yo leaves for the army on the 4th of jan so you can tell I would like nothing more then to forget about it an say let it stay where its at.has anyone had to get a retained stent out via a laser? this has really put more stress on a already stressed out family,any help would be great :'(
