I have a special occasion coming up and began using the tanning bed about two weeks about 4-5 days a week. (Note: I do not usually tan) I was not getting very tan using the turbo beds, so the lady recommended the 20 minute for longer contact...As soon as I did two days ago, I was much redder from the bed (I guess from the "longer" contact) and noticed a nickle size white welt just below the front of my right shoulder. As soon as I got out of the bed, I saw the white spot and figured I missed it with the lotion and it would fade after tanning again. It now feels (but doesnt look) barely raised, is slightly red and when pressed just feels like a simple sunburn might- but it is much lighter then my skin and will not tan since (even in different beds). I have never had anything like it before and it does not have any other wierd characteristics (no weird colors, no peeling, no outter ring, etc.). I layed on my stomache both times (because I have the hardest time getting my chest to tan), so could it be a welt from the sweat irritating that particular spot? Also, I have breast implants from about 6 months ago and the area around my nipple is a TINY bit spotted with tan and white- could this be from my skin not being completely settled yet (they say it takes a year)- or from the implant itself? Any help is greatly appreciated.
