Roxicet Vs Percocet. wats the difference???

The main difference is if you take Roxicet after eating any type of meat (pork, chicken, fish) you can effectively communicate with that species for the following three full moons, only on those nights, and none between. Percocet allows you to grow gills and swim with fish and if you're lucky you can communicate with underwater creatures for up to 4 hours. Go with the Roxicet. Hope that helps.

percocet has ACETOMINIPHAN (or how ever you spell it) in it. TYLENOL

 

thats why the pill will say something like 10/375. 10 mgs of oxy for every 375mgs of tylenol. 

roxys are just straight oxycodone thats why they are much smaller and thats why people snort them. 

 

Roxicet contains a combination of acetaminophen and oxycodone. Oxycodone is in a group of drugs called opioid (narcotic) pain relievers. Acetaminophen is a less potent pain reliever that increases the effects of oxycodone. Percocets are the same; oxycodone and acetaminophen. Percocets usually have a dose of 5mg oxycodone and 325mg acetaminophen. My Roxicets have the same 5/325 ratio, but they also come in a 5/500 ratio. If your pharmacist gave you these when you were used to taking Perocet, they may not work as well because they have more tylenol and less oxy, which is the strong pain reliever, while the tylenol is only a mild pain reliever.

Roxicet/oxycodone IR (immediate release)  has no tylenol, percocet/oxycodone 5 mg, 10 mg has 300, 325, 500 or 650 mg of acetaminophen which I have taken both. I noticed with the generic Percocet, called Endocet had a little over 8 mg of oxycodone whereas the Roxicet has 10 mg. There is even a newer Percocet generic, M523 on the pill, white and oblong which has a little more than Endocet but costs $40 less in most pharmacies. The Roxicet is usually generic, comes in 5mg, 10 mg, 15mg, 20mg, 25 mg and 30 mg. If you are tolerant, not abusive to the medication, the Percocet loses it effectiveness for pain after a few years and increases your liver damage. If your doctor cares enough, the doctor will change you to Roxicet if you are going to be on this med for a while. I have seen people snort, smoke and inject roxies but those same people refuse to spend the time or money to get any pain meds with tylenol because the tylenol knocks out the injector factor and the ones that snort do not like the burn. For true pain, I feel that, if taken too long, all lose their effectiveness. Ask your doctor to give you something for breakthrough pain such as morphine. If all else fails and you find yourself using more or abusing the opiate, ask for Fentanyl patches. Yes, people abuse these as well but they also wake up in the hospital from overdose. If you just use opiates to get high, seek out a doctor or clinic that is licensed to write methadone or suboxone. You can go to detox and then check yourself into rehab if you have to. I have seen many friends and family go both ways. Yes, you are sorta trading one drug for another but you are saving your life too. Good Luck all

I agree that Percocet and Roxicet are the same.  I have been taking the two for years on and off and have to say that I have not noticed any difference between the two.  As previously stated, the Roxicet maximum is higher than Percocet.  You can only get Percocet 10's but you can get Roxicet 30's.  THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE.  So for those of you who switch back and forth between the two and say one is better than the other, you can just shove it.  Stop fiending and whining about it and just take the damn medicine.  Cheers.

Your right, it does not work as well as percocet. The hospitals used to give you percocet, and I felt that one percocet worked well, as with roxicet. I also found that roxicet works better than endocet. Most pharmacies around here only have endocet, my pharmacy just switched to them. There is one other pharmacy where I am that had roxicets', I will check to see if they still have them. There is a difference in the pills, why are some with the exact same formula cheaper than others?

My father was a pharmacists and basic told me the same thing. No difference...

Not true. Synthroid for thyroid is not effective in the generic form-my endocrinologist insists on name brand. Nor is Xanax for panic disorder. There is a big difference in Percocet and generics. Absolutely not true that all generics work the same as brand. Doctors will tell you that and will often write no substitutions on their prescriptions.

If you think there is a difference in name brand and generic, you're technically right, but when it comes to the actual drug you are wrong.  The only possible difference in a name brand and generic is the excipients.  That means things are bulking agents, binding agents, disintegrating agents, etc.  If you saw just how small of an amount of a drug there is in a certain dosage, you'd realize you can't even handle the tablet because it's so small.  They also might crumble or not even pack together at all.  Then when they're in your system, the tablet might not crumble the way it's supposed to.  That's what the excipients are for - they give the tablet bulk so it can be handled, hold the tablet together, make it disintegrate for absorption so it can be distributed through the body, things like that.  The way generics come to market is the ride on the back of the initial drug.  The first time a drug is made and passes through FDA approval, they have a patent.  Once that patent is up, generics can come to market, but they can't just throw it together willynilly and call it a day.  They don't have to go through the process of proving efficacy or safety and all that - the first drug already went through that process, so the FDA allows the generic manufacturer to bring the drug to market as long as they prove the blood levels when taken the generic are the same as the initial drug's.  So they are in fact identical when it comes to the active ingredients.  It's like saying a soda tastes different coming out of a green can than coming out of a red can.  The soda is still soda, the only difference is the packaging.  The only difference in a name brand and generic is the packaging.  The only way a brand name and a generic will be different to you is if you have some sort of reaction to an excipient in one that is not present in the other.  You're kidding yourself if you think a generic is lower quality because it's cheaper so you have to get the name brand.

Roxicet has Tylox and Oxycodone in it. There is a difference.
