I had a tonsillectomy 6 years ago. The scar tissue that formed after looks like two strings in the back of my throat connecting the top to the bottom. Since the surgery, I do not usually think about it until it is aggravated by food. Is this normal and can anything be done to fix it?

Have you gotten any answers about this?  My daughter just had a tonsillectomy and also has, on one side, a 'string' of skin - seems very abnormal.  And by reading your description, this can be aggravated by food?  Well, that doesn't seem like something that should just be left that way forever.  What have doctors said to you?  Thanks!
