I am 28, and I have been having the same menstral pattern for as long as I can remember. I bleed (heavy) for about 4 months. And pass about 20 clots per day. Then I am off anywhere from 3 weeks to two months. I have been diagnosed with PCOS over 5 years ago - I do have a 4 year old son, he is a miracle - and I haven't had the money to get proper care. But now I do so I have an appointment with the Dr. who diagnosed me next month. I have read up on PCOS, and most women have light to no period, I am the opposite. AND IT SUCKS!!!!!! Any suggestions? Wish me luck.

I want to wish you the best of luck. I am 28 and I have no kids. I just found out I have pcos a little over a year ago. My periods have been every 7 weeks and last about 4 days. I just went to the doc today because I am on my 20th day of having it and this has never happened before. The doctor told me that with pcos that this can happen. He told me that if I am still bleeding in 10 more days to come see him again. That means I will have my period for 30 days before they will do any test to find out whats going on. Do yours last that long? I hate having PCOS and I am so over it. If you ever need to talk or share storys my yahoo im is jujubie4863. Once again best of luck and let me know how it goes.
thanks Julie
