What could this indicate ?My father became suddenly ill 4 days ago ...he was fine in the morning and suddenly fell under extreme nasuea and acidic throw up. His stomache is still having extreme sharp pain in the middle area. He finds it difficult to move or talk without exacerbating the situation. Could this be a gall bladder disfunction...if so, an emergency?

Considering it’s been four days since it started I would say that a doctor’s visit is a must.
If the pain is situated under the belly button, it could be indicating problems of the small intestines or appendicitis-inflammation of the appendix. This should be looked into, because if inflammation of the appendix occurred, it may turn to life-threatening condition. Other symptoms that could be indicating this inflammation are nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, fever, abdominal gasses and frequent BM.
If the pain is situated in the upper middle abdominal area, it could be indicating problems with pancreas, gallbladder and upper small intestine. It could also be GERD, a peptic ulcers or hernia but doctor’s visit is essential.
Hope everything turns out well.
