Hi. I had the same problem. I was feeling pain in my lower middle abdomen. The pain was very persistent. I had no other symptoms. My doctor told me, after examination, I have a urinary tract infection. It was no big deal. Pain in lower middle abdomen may indicate UTI, or pelvic inflammatory disease. Many other things can cause abdominal pain. These causes include excessive gas, heartburn, ulcers, chronic constipation, inflammation of the gallbladder, appendicitis, bowel obstruction, food poisoning and hernia. Lower abdominal pain may also indicate kidney stones.
